Some diners have observed that certain dishes, like the gravy for the Mandi, could be served warmer, which might detract from an otherwise perfect meal. Occasional wait times during peak hours can be a challenge, especially on busy Sundays when the restaurant reaches full capacity. While the dishes are generally loved, the need for finer temperature control has been noted by a few, suggesting room for refinement in the cooking process. Despite these minor concerns, patrons find the overall quality and taste of the food far outweigh any negatives, often leading to a returned visit regardless of these points.
An amazing experience! Honestly, I didn’t expect to find a restaurant in Liverpool that could transport me straight back to Yemen. This place makes you live the moment — from the flavors to the aromas and even the way the food is served. I tried the liver (kabda), which was fresh and cooked perfectly in the traditional Yemeni style, as well as the rashous, with its unique taste that reminds you of a morning breakfast back home. And the milk tea (haleeb shai) at the end makes you feel like your spirit has left the UK and returned to a warm, cozy home in Yemen. A truly memorable experience — a place that deserves all the appreciation ❤️🇾🇪 9
Food and service was excellent. Staff were really helpful and showed us the food to make sure we had ordered correctly. We had a takeaway (although eating in also looked like a good option). We were brought lots of free extras to try while our food was being prepared. The food itself was amazing (we had mixed kebab, and a Sea Bass). Quantities were large and beautifully cooked. Highly recommended. Would definitely use again. Great value.
Very delicious Yemenite food. Nice food, nice staff and nice atmosphere.
Can't fault this place for quality food service and value for money will definitely visit again
Great Yemeni cuisine, value for money, Mandi is a must try. the gravy was a bit cold but was delicious. the staff were nice and friendly. the street parking space is available in the next street. in total great experience of a middle eastern cuisine.
Good people, good food. Not my type of eating in place, but the takeaway food was fresh and tasty. Portions were large so one portion can feed two people. I'd recommend the lamb chops. Go on the weekend for the freshest food.
Food here is fantastic. Visited several times now and it's always very tasty, good quality and excellent value for money with good sized serving. Get there early if you want Mandi !!
